Here's some things I want to accomplish in 2024!
- Explore [City I’m living in for the next 4 months]
- Write + post “damn, baby, you’ve got me good” (series of klance 5+1 fics I’ve been working on)
- Tat (lacemaking tecnique) a necklace
- Do more sourdough (pancakes, bagels, pretzels)
- Finish my temperature blanket
- Bind more of “The Blonde Collection” (my project to bind my favorite works by leblonde)
- Write (at least part of) “it takes three to play catan” (working title for my giant Keith/Lance/Hunk fic)
- Organize something
- Read 75 books
- Curate a more positive internet experience
Re: Thoughts
Date: 2024-01-15 06:30 pm (UTC)My sourdough is at the "make enough different things to keep using my starter" stage. Georg (starter) got neglected last semester with some stuff going on and went off after a roommate left some food to get moldy in the fridge :( so the goal this semester is to teach that roommate how to monitor expiration dates and use my starter on a more regular basis.
I want to try doing a smaller bread loaf next week (we're rehydradating a backup this week). Cause I cannot get through a whole large loaf on my own without freezing it.
I should definitely explore more flavors eventually. Right now Georg is on a whole wheat diet. I also want to try some inclusions to get more flavors.

It can be very challenging to keep a fridge with nothing past-due in it. Some folks keep a minifridge for their cultures.

Well, there are small-loaf pans, or you can try shaping artisan boules.

It also makes great bread bowls:
